Sarah Muirhead (she/her)
Since 2016, Sarah Oakes Muirhead has been a passionate member of the My College Audition Team. During her time with MCA, Sarah has served as an MCA Director, Consultant, Monologue Coach, and the Head of Monologue Selection. She has helped hundreds of students to successfully navigate the College Audition Process, and is grateful to assist the next generation of young artists in achieving their dreams!
A proud member of Actors’ Equity and Ring of Keys, Sarah is also a Boston-based actor, singer, and director. She holds a BFA in Acting from Boston University, a Diploma in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and has trained at the University of Michigan and Paper Mill Playhouse.
As an actor, Sarah has performed extensively with theaters such as the Huntington Theatre Company, Nora Theatre Company, New Repertory Theatre, Barnstormers Theatre, Reagle Music Theatre, and Gloucester Stage Company. She has a special love for the development of new works, and has had the pleasure of originating multiple new roles. When not on stage, Sarah can also be found behind the table. Favorite directing credits include Buyer and Cellar (6th Street Playhouse, Bay Area Theatre Critics Award Nomination) and Sweeney Todd (Moonbox Productions).
In addition to her work as an actor, Sarah has helped to facilitate rehabilitative theatre classes for incarcerated individuals and has also worked at Telsey + Co., one of NYC’s premier casting offices for Broadway, Off-Broadway, TV, and Film.
As an Acting grad who can often be found in a Sondheim musical, Sarah is a firm believer that there is no one path to a career in the arts. She looks forward to helping you map your own!
