Nael Nacer is originally from Paris, France and has been a proud member of Actors' Equity Association since 2008. He recently performed on Broadway in Manhattan Theatre Club's Tony Award nominated production Prayer for The French Republic, written by Joshua Harmon and directed by Tony Award winner David Cromer. Over the past 15 years Nael has acted in numerous productions including the Off-Broadway and Boston premieres of The Orchard with Jessica Hecht and the legendary Mikhail Baryshnikov, A Doll's House, Awake and Sing!, The Seagull, Bedroom Farce (directed by Tony Award nominee Maria Aitken), Come Back Little Sheba, Our Town (directed by David Cromer, Huntington Theatre Company), Macbeth, The Tempest (Commonwealth Shakespeare Company), Angels in America (directed by Eric Tucker, Central Square Theater), People, Places & Things, Small Mouth Sounds, A Future Perfect, Tribes (SpeakEasy Stage Company), 45 Plays for 45 Presidents, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (Merrimack Repertory Theatre), Tiny Beautiful Things, True West, Bank Job, The Flick (Gloucester Stage Company), Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, Intimate Apparel, The Temperamentals, Animal Crackers (Lyric Stage Company), A Number, Pattern of Life, Lungs, The Kite Runner (New Repertory Theatre), and Shear Madness (Charles Playhouse). Nael is the recipient of Elliot Norton Outstanding Actor Awards for his work in Intimate Apparel (2015, Lyric Stage Company) and The Return (2020, Israeli Stage), and has received numerous nominations over the years. He has also received three IRNE Awards, for his performances in Our Town (2013) and Bedroom Farce (2017, Huntington Theatre Company), and Annie Baker's Pulitzer Prize winner The Flick (2016, Gloucester Stage Company). Nael holds a BA in Theatre from Suffolk University, has trained in Paris at the Bilingual Acting Workshop, and in NYC with the LAByrinth Theatre, as well as with famed acting teacher Robert X. Modica.
As an educator, Nael has taught the Summer Theatre Program at Payomet Performing Arts Center in North Truro, MA and has experience in audition and monologue coaching in Boston. Nael is thrilled to be able to help passionate young performers pursue their dreams and achieve their goals as part of the My College Audition coaching team!
