Originally from Montreal, Canada, Jamie is an actor, writer, and filmmaker based in New York City. He’s been working professionally in film, TV, theatre, and video games since the age of ten.
At the age of five, Jamie first stepped onto the stage as a Lollipop Guild Munchkin in his school’s production of the Wizard of Oz. He hasn’t stopped acting since. He went on to star in a handful of short films, and at eleven, made his professional theatre debut starring in Lies My Father Told Me at the Segal Centre in Montreal. During high school, Jamie co-starred on Game On, a sitcom that aired on YTV and was directed by Jacob Tierney. He also starred in the Canadian indie film, Venus, directed by Eisha Marjara. Venus was screened at film festivals all over the world where Jamie won awards for his performance. He continued to work in theatre professionally, originating a role in a new Canadian musical, Prom Queen, (also at the Segal Centre) in 2016. Jamie then entered the world of video game acting, doing voice work and motion capture for two hit video game series: Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs. Jamie also attended Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center for seven summers. Some Stagedoor theatre credits include Spamalot, Les Mis, Grand Hotel, Sweeney Todd, and Guys and Dolls, among many others. After high school, Jamie attended Pace University’s BFA Acting for Film, TV, Voiceover and Commercials program where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. During his time at Pace, Jamie also worked on the new Canadian musical, The Louder We Get, directed by Emmy award winning director Lonny Price. He also appeared on an episode of CBS’s Ghosts. Since graduating, Jamie starred in an episode of NBC’s Transplant, as well as the upcoming movie, Sgt. Fruit Fly, which he filmed in Greece.
Jamie is proud to be the first ever MCA alumni (class of 2017) to join the coaching team! For the last two years, Jamie has led The Business of Acting for Film and TV workshop for MCA students. Jamie is thrilled to bring his wealth of experience (both as a professional actor and also a student who’s been through the college audition process) to the table, and is ecstatic to be joining the MCA family.
