  • Up to 50 edited images in a gallery (print and web resolution)

  • Photos will be shot similar to the ones shown here, with colored paper backdrops and bright, forward, flattering light.

Meet Your Photographer

Daniel Corey (he/him) | DJ Corey Photography

Daniel “DJ” Corey has lived and worked in the DMV for over 20 years as a teacher, actor, and photographer. He earned a Master of Arts degree in Theater Education from the Catholic University of America in 2011 and is a veteran of many of DC’s professional stages, receiving a Helen Hayes nomination for acting in 2015.

After getting his own headshots taken, Daniel decided to buy a camera and take some simple headshots for his own friends. Ten years later, Dan has drawn on his experience as a teacher and actor to create moving portraits for hundreds of Washington’s most talented artists.

Daniel doesn’t want you to see your headshot session as a box to be checked, but as an experience in understanding yourself as an artist and storyteller. He works from his home studio in Takoma Park, MD, where he lives with his wife Katy and daughter Evelyn.

FAQs

  • The studio is located in Takoma Park, MD. Additional details will be sent prior to your shoot!

  • 30-minute Headshot Shoot time slots will be assigned by our team. We will do our best to accommodate any stated conflicts. You will receive an email confirming your time two weeks before your shoot date.

  • Cancellations
    The payment for your headshot shoot is non-refundable. Exceptions may be made for extreme weather/travel conditions and/or illness.

    Rescheduling
    Rescheduling is not guaranteed. Requests will be determined on a case by case basis, pending availability.

  • If you can’t find any photos that you absolutely love, you must contact your photographer within two weeks of your session to discuss options for a reshoot.

  • Preparation is key to a great Headshot Shoot! Prior to your shoot, we will send a full guide with tips and instructions on how to make the most of your experience!
