Dance Preparation
You will be prepped on your unique dance combination to use for all prescreen submissions.
Before the start of your FIRST Dance Preparation lesson:
Be in a room where you can properly and comfortably move. Spaces should be well lit + large enough to dance full out.
Please wear dance/movement/athletic attire & appropriate footwear for the surface you plan to dance on.
Please come prepared for your first lesson with 3-5 Songs that you might possibly like to have your dance choreographed to. These do not need to be from musicals, but of course, they can be. If you are struggling with selecting some songs, don’t sweat it! You can chat about it with your Dance Coach in the first lesson.
Have your “Master Spreadsheet” in your Google Drive Folder filled out with all necessary dance prescreen requirements.
Have a paper and pen to take notes. You are also welcome to record your lessons to use as reference.
Have a secondary source to play music.
Scheduling + Number Of Lessons:
The Dance Prescreen Choreography Package includes 5 lessons. In the 5th lesson, you should be ready to film your dance combination.
Please Note: If you would like more prep time before filming and/or need additional assistance with your ballet supplement, you may add on additional dance prep sessions at any time.
Typically, we recommend 1 week between each lesson to allow for time to process, rehearse and come to the next lesson with new discoveries and questions! Of course, we’ll discuss your specific needs in our first lesson.
If your schedule does not allow for 5 weeks of consistent prep, we recommend breaks after the first session and/or before the last session. Best to group sessions 2-4!
